BOTANICA PARK

Public BBQ

This compact suburban park centers around a good-sized pond crossed by a wooden bridge, home to a resident duck population. The playground is larger than most local parks and features standard equipment plus some unique additions like a lower-set table tennis table (bring your own bats and balls) and an outdoor gym. The park has undergone several upgrades over the years, with the council regularly adding new equipment and features. Wide, sealed pathways loop around the park in about 10-15 minutes, with plenty of benches and picnic tables scattered throughout. One BBQ is available along with two sets of tables. Wooden lookout platforms provide spots to enjoy the water views, and fragrant flowering trees add seasonal colour. The main downside is the absence of toilets, which can be inconvenient with children. The unsealed walkways in some sections may be slippery when wet, and the bridge has raised edges that could be a trip hazard. Bus stops are located nearby for easy access.
